Polar Plunge Team: In Memory of Major Jeff Burke #5678
Some people leave a lasting mark on our lives, and Major Jeff Burke #5678 was one of those people. Although Jeff passed away in December 2024, his legacy of service, generosity, and friendship continues to inspire all who knew him.
Jeff was a devoted father, loving husband, brother, and friend to so many. He was the kind of person who showed up for others, gave his time generously, and found purpose in helping his community. One cause especially close to his heart was the Polar Plunge. Jeff loved helping his brother, Kevin, manage the event, bringing his dedication, enthusiasm, and spirit of service to a day that makes a real difference in the lives of others.
Today, we plunge in Jeff’s honor—not only to remember the man he was, but to carry forward the values he lived by. The Polar Plunge supports Special Olympics athletes, providing opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to experience the power of sports, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
We invite you to join our team, take the plunge, or make a donation in Jeff’s memory. Every participant, every contribution, and every act of support helps continue a mission that mattered to Jeff.
Let’s come together to celebrate his life, support an incredible cause, and show that his legacy lives on through the good we do for others.
For Jeff. For Special Olympics. For a cause worth getting cold for.
His memory will always be with us, and his spirit will continue to inspire every plunge we take.
